Justice Sandra Day O'Connor To Appear At Cornell

On October 23rd, Retired Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court Sandra Day O'Connor will appear at Cornell University Law School and lecture on "The Importance of an Independent Judiciary." Justice O'Connor has been quite vocal about the independence of the judiciary in recent years expressing her concerns that political attacks on the independence of the courts, and in the confirmation process of federal judges pose a direct threat to the constitutional freedoms of Americans. The lecture will take place at Bailey Hall from 4:30PM-6:00PM. The lecture is open to all, but ticketing information has yet to be announced. To stay informed about this event, Click Here.
